Transition Bike Co. put on their thinking caps

Well it seems the guys over at Transition Bike Co. have been working pretty hard in this past year. Incredably, they have designed not one, but two new bikes slated for release in 2009. The Covert is Transition’s do-it-all aggressive trail bike, previously offering up 5.5 inches of travel. The new configuration has bumped the travel up to 6″, increased strenght, upgraded geometry and a new very sleek / very clean look. I’m told the will be available sometime in June, but it you can’t wait for the new design your in luck. Transition IS OFFERING 20% OFF THE CURRENT MODEL!  But instead of continuing my potentially misinformed blogging I’ll pass if off to Transition Bike Co., who know their new machines best. The Hub Bicycle Service is back (it acutally never left)

Yes I know, it’s been too long since I have updated this thing… I have a new website and blog in the works, so clear your schedules and plan on wasting hours browsing the new site’s content. It will feature videos, product reviews and of course blogging. But the news for now: The Hub Bicycle Service is up and rolling so stop into the shop in Teton Village, give me a call or shoot me an email. In the meantime check out the new Ibis Tranny……. so cool!

The “Do it all Bike” Really, I mean do it all!

The positive press just keeps flowing for the Ibis Mojo. Earlier with Outside Magazines July nod for “Best Mountain bike of 2008″ and other press claiming it’s the real deal when it comes to “Do it all” machines. But if you haven’t heard or don’t believe, it’s official this bike really can do it all. Including win a international downhill race at the 2008 Kokanee Crankworx Festival in Whistler, B.C. CAN. Yep, Ibis sponsored rider Brian Lopes just won the Big Air Downhill race on the classic A-Line trail against of field of no slouches. The competition included world cup downhill racers and other world class riders. Check out the photo for more ogleishious beta.

Official Hub Bicycle Service Jerseys are almost in!!!!!

Jay-Z, Pharell, J-Lo, P Diddy, Ralph Laruen all have their own line of clothing and now The Hub Bicycle Service does too! Actually, The Hub has about 20 one-of-a-kind super styli jerseys in production as I take a break to write this blog. Aaron (The Hub) Grutzmacher is hand printing the original Scott Wood design here in Jackson Hole! The Jerseys by Zoic are gender specific and are quite possibly one of the best looking cycling jerseys ever produced (Link: Mens Womens). They will be available at the very reasonable price of 50.00 August 12. In addition to the jerseys The Hub will have gorgeous Zoic Cycling Knickers for the ladies and Zoic Baggy Shorts that are simply dashing for the men. Both have a high quality removable liner and are perfect for summer and fall riding. Give a call or swing by for details!

The Hub Bicycle Service (aron) goes riding… finally

Who is Mike Harris anyways? Please someone google that and get back to me with the history behind this guy. Anyways, the Mail Cabin to Mike Harris campground mountain bike ride on the west side of Teton Pass is truly an adventure mountain bike ride unlike anything else in Jackson Hole. It has it all, shoe soaking creek crossings, steep exposed off camber trail sections, snow and scree crossings and arguably one of the most intense downhills in the Tetons. I would have to strongly suggest that you, ” go get you some”. Weather you love or hate the ride it’s sure to be a taint busting good time! Check out some photos (the Mojo looks good)

The boys at Transition Bike Co. know what it’s about and that’s why they’ve given us, “An Ode to PBR”. This custom paint limited edition Bottle Rocket, It’s their most popular model and now an ode to this fine brew and all it represents. Track 1: BLAME IT ON THE RAIN (not Milli Vanilli)

milli vanilli

Rain, Rain, Rain… may the wettest winter in 10 yrs roll right into the wettest summer in 10 yrs? It’s still snowing in the mountains and the 10 day forcast reads rain for much of the extended outlook? Is this wrath of mother nature deserved? My excitement for riding dirt leads my blind optimism and conviciton that MTB season is just over the hump. This guidance may come from my new Ibis Mojo and the fact that I will be riding one of the finest all mountain trail bike on the planet.
